Coyote Varsity Softball Takes Some Time To Pull Away From Calallen
Coyote Varsity Softball had trouble putting away Calallen on Friday, but eventually Coyote Varsity Softball prevailed 5-4. Coyote Varsity Softball took the lead for good in the ninth inning. The game was tied at four with Coyote Varsity Softball batting in the top of the ninth when Leslie Ochoa singled off of #22, driving in one run.
Coyote Varsity Softball took an early lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Coyote Varsity Softball.Calallen knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two outs in the eighth inning #6 drove in one run when she singled.
Sabrina Salinas earned the win for Coyote Varsity Softball. She threw eight and a third innings, surrendering four runs, seven hits, and striking out four. #22 took the loss for Calallen. She pitched six and a third innings, surrendering one run, four hits, and striking out four.
Alexandria Alaniz and Andrea Perez each drove in two runs to lead Coyote Varsity Softball.
Calallen had seven hits in the game. #6 and #1 each collected multiple hits for Calallen.
