Garcia’s Walkoff Gives Coyote Varsity Softball Victory Over Boswell

A walk-off double led Coyote Varsity Softball past Boswell 5-3 on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Coyote Varsity Softball batting in the bottom of the sixth when Monica Garcia doubled off of #88, driving in two runs.
Coyote Varsity Softball took an early lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Coyote Varsity Softball.
Leslie Ochoa earned the win for Coyote Varsity Softball. She threw six innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, striking out one, and walking one. #88 took the loss for Boswell. She pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs, nine hits, striking out eight, and walking zero.
Coyote Varsity Softball had ten hits in the game. Andrea Perez, Monica Garcia, Skylynn Solis, and Ayleene Salinas each collected multiple hits for Coyote Varsity Softball. Salinas, Solis, Garcia, and Perez all had two hits to lead Coyote Varsity Softball.
