It came down to the wire on Thursday, with La Joya Coyotes Softball taking victory on a dramatic walk-off sacrifice fly in the late innings that sealed their victory over Mission Veterans Memorial. The game was tied at seven with La Joya Coyotes Softball batting in the bottom of the seventh when Leslie Ochoa’s sac fly scored one run for La Joya Coyotes Softball.
There was plenty of action on the basepaths as La Joya Coyotes Softball collected 13 hits and Mission Veterans Memorial had eight.
